One role put me close to enterprise security operations and medical-device infrastructure. The other put me inside a cloud security product team.

Cybersecurity Analyst Intern

I supported security operations across endpoint, vulnerability, email, and network signals. That included SIEM triage, CrowdStrike monitoring, Rapid7 assessments, phishing investigations, and documenting evidence for incident response and threat hunting.

I also worked on the cybersecurity risk inventory for more than 300 operational technology systems. It made security feel less abstract: the assets were tied to real manufacturing and medical-device operations.

Security Software Engineer Intern

I worked on cloud security tooling: testing and debugging features, working with APIs and OAuth2, and contributing to vulnerability and threat-detection workflows.

I also joined customer demos. That forced me to step outside the implementation and explain what the product was doing, why a finding mattered, and how someone would use it.
